Bikes Make Life Better

Full-Time and Part-Time Bicycle Mechanics

Full-Time in Menlo Park, CA

Do you like working on bikes and want to use your mechanic skills in a new and fun environment? With great pay and benefits and no evenings and weekends? Come work for us – this might be your ideal job!

Bikes Make Life Better plans and operates bike programs for large organizations that care about putting more butts on bikes. We are looking for full-time and part-time bicycle mechanics for a comprehensive corporate bike program at one of our client locations in Silicon Valley.

We run on-campus bike services for client employees (not for the public), including shops, mobile bike repair, and a large campus bike fleet. Our mechanics provide complimentary repairs on employee bikes. While we sell bikes, accessories, and parts, we are not driven by sales. Our mechanics also service a fleet of hundreds of campus bikes for intra-campus travel. The bike crew is hardworking and a lot of fun.

Ideal candidates have a well developed skill set as a bike mechanic and outstanding customer service. You should be able to diagnose, repair and maintain bicycles, provide excellent customer service and accurately document work electronically in a timely manner. If you’re newer to bike repair, we look at your desire and ability to learn quickly since we’ll provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities may include the preparation and repair of campus bikes, intern and loaner bikes, and repair of a wide variety of employee bikes through on-campus bike shops and mobile bike repair.
